Excel set value changes not saved




I am trying to save a list of values in a column in a excel sheet. The application does not throw any errors but the file remains unchanged. The values I want to store are not seen when I open the file after playing the recording.

Please help me with this issue.



Dear Psidhu,

There are two ways to avoid this situation:

  • You should tick the save checkbox in the open spreadsheet action;
  • Or you can add add a save action at the end.

It might also help if you check whether you have permission to edit this file. If this file was downloaded from the Internet, you should open the file and enable editing like described in the manual (https://kb.workfusion.com/display/RPAe/Excel).
