I’m trying the extract the text from the attached image which was captured by OCR action. I get the below error when I play the recording to extract the text from image. Using 2.2 version of RPAExpress. Below is the error. Please help.

Error executing OcrAction

Hello @bhanubachu,

Please try this solution from our Knowledge Base - https://kb.workfusion.com/display/RPAe/Troubleshooting#expand-ErrorexecutingOcrActionOcrExceptioncannotbefound

If you have version before 2.2.1 then you need to update your RPA Express. As the previous OCR license available in versions 2.1.3 to 2.2.0 expired on February 7, 2019.

Thanks for your quick response.

Please find the error screenshot from the platform monitor.

my current version is 2.2.0.1015. This may be issue.
How do I update to the newer version?
what is the frequency of the version updates?
what is the validity period of OCR license?

Hi again @bhanubachu,

Yes the issue is that you have a version in which OCR license has expired. So you need to update.

You can find how to update your RPA Express in our Knowledge Base - https://kb.workfusion.com/display/RPAe/How+to+Update+RPA+Express

RPA Express version updates approximately once a month. Every time the update is out, you will be able to see it in our Release Notes - https://kb.workfusion.com/display/RPAe/Release+Notes. So now the latest version is 2.2.2

What about OCR license, approximately license expires once every three months. You will also see in Release Notes when previous OCR license has expired:

I tried extracting a 2 digit number using OCR and it is giving me incorrect data. Attached are the screenshot of the screen where I’m trying to extract data and Anchor & region selection screenshot.
I’m using RPAExpress 2.2.2.

Is the issue with selecting the Anchor and region range or the OCR data extraction?

Please help me fixing the issue.Class%20Number

Hi @bhanubachu,

Could you please clarify if you get any error during OCR or it just ocrs the wrong data?

Hi, @burakkulce if you use RPA Express version 2.2.3 or earlier, the OCR license for these versions has expired today. You need to update to a new version as shown in this post
